Is there an API for cruise itineraries and prices?

Last updated · published 2026-10-03

TL;DR

Yes. Traveltek, Widgety, Revelex and CRUISE-API sell cruise itineraries with live fares, mostly to travel agencies on contract. CruiseFeed and Cruisewatch offer price history. Cruise Itinerary sells itineraries for 43 lines with weekly fare history and published self-serve prices, but no live fares or booking. Vendor claims were checked on 2026-10-03.

Several APIs cover cruise itineraries and prices, and they split by what they are for. Booking feeds such as Traveltek, Widgety, Revelex and CRUISE-API serve travel sellers who need live fares and a way to book. Data products such as CruiseFeed, Cruisewatch and Cruise Itinerary serve developers, analysts and AI builders who need schedules and price history. This page compares eight of them, with each claim taken from the vendor's own page.

Which cruise APIs sell live fares and bookings?

Traveltek, Revelex and CRUISE-API sell live cruise pricing, availability and booking through one API, under a sales contract with no published price. Widgety supplies pricing with live availability up to the point of booking. All four target travel agencies, online travel agencies and travel technology firms.

  • Traveltek says it works with over 27 cruise suppliers and more than 30,000 itineraries, with live pricing and instant booking. With Traverse Automation it launched AIVA, an AI cruise booking assistant (Travolution, 2025-06-27).
  • Widgety supplies its API only to certified travel agencies and technology firms, and offers a test key on request.
  • CRUISE-API, from CRUISEHOST, lists 30 cruise lines across 32 pricing markets and 37 languages; it was announced in December 2025 (Cruising Journal, 2025-12-18).
  • We could not check Odysseus Solutions: odysol.com did not respond on 2026-10-03, so its row makes no claim.

If you sell cruises, one of these feeds is the right choice: none of the data products below can take a booking or quote a live fare.

Which cruise APIs offer historical cruise price data?

Three APIs offer cruise price history. Cruisewatch has sold an API-based price alert and price history service to partners since at least 2022. CruiseFeed exposes a price history endpoint over scraped public prices. Cruise Itinerary has kept every weekly fare snapshot since 2026-09-06, 5 loads so far, on its Business plan.

Depth is where Cruisewatch leads. TouringPlans.com signed up for its price history service in October 2022 (Travolution, 2022-10-28), so its history predates ours by years; its own historic-pricing page was offline when we checked, so we do not state a figure. Cruise Itinerary's history is short, weekly and continuous: one snapshot of all four cabin fares for every sailing, every Monday. The free Cruise Price Index is built from it.

CruiseFeed describes its data as unofficial and drawn from public sources only. Its Apify listing was marked deprecated on 2026-10-03 and showed 13 total users.

Which cruise data APIs publish their prices?

Two cruise data APIs publish self-serve prices. CruiseFeed charges $2.00 per 1,000 records through Apify, and Cruise Itinerary has a free plan with 500 calls a month and paid plans at $149, $749 and $2,500 a month. Traveltek, Revelex, CRUISE-API and Cruisewatch quote prices through sales; Widgety publishes only its widget price.

  • Widgety's booking widget costs £50 a month after a 30-day trial (Widgety widget); its API price is not published.
  • Cruise Itinerary's plans, limits and features are on its pricing page; a free key needs only an email address.

Which cruise API covers UK and European cruise lines?

Widgety states the widest coverage, more than 70 cruise lines and 20 tour operators, and serves agencies in markets including the UK, Germany and Australia. CRUISE-API prices 30 lines across 32 markets. Cruise Itinerary covers 43 lines but has no TUI, Marella, AIDA, Saga, Fred. Olsen or Hapag-Lloyd sailings.

Widgety lists the markets it serves on its home page. For a UK or German audience, check the missing brands first. Cruise Itinerary is strongest on North American and international lines, from Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line to MSC Cruises, Viking and Hurtigruten; the full list is on its coverage page.

Which cruise API should a developer or AI builder use?

Choose by job. To sell cruises, sign with a booking feed such as Traveltek, Widgety, Revelex or CRUISE-API. To build a trip planner, research tool or AI assistant that needs every line's schedule, use a data API with stable identifiers. For deep price history, ask Cruisewatch; for weekly history and published prices, Cruise Itinerary.

  • Need a bookable fare: a booking feed, with a supplier agreement.
  • Need itineraries, ships and ports for every line in one schema: a data API. Cruise Itinerary returns day-by-day itineraries, an entity resolver and a change feed with webhooks.
  • Need prices as a time series: Cruisewatch for depth, Cruise Itinerary for a weekly series with a published methodology.
  • Need terms you can show a lawyer: prefer a vendor with a contract or published terms over scraped data.

Key takeaways

  • Traveltek, Widgety, Revelex and CRUISE-API sell itineraries with live fares and booking, mostly to travel sellers under contract.
  • Cruisewatch has offered price history to partners since at least 2022; Cruise Itinerary has weekly fare history since 2026-09-06.
  • Only CruiseFeed and Cruise Itinerary publish self-serve API prices, and the CruiseFeed Apify listing was marked deprecated on 2026-10-03.
  • Widgety states the widest line coverage; Cruise Itinerary lacks TUI, Marella, AIDA, Saga, Fred. Olsen and Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Pick a booking feed to sell cruises and a data API to research, plan or power an AI assistant.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free cruise itinerary API?

Cruise Itinerary has a free plan: 500 calls a month with a key that takes an email address, covering lines, ships, ports, destinations, the entity resolver and the latest Price Index. Sailings and itineraries start on the $149 Developer plan. The booking feeds compared here do not publish a free tier.

Can I get live cruise prices through an API?

Yes, from a booking feed. Traveltek, Revelex and CRUISE-API advertise real-time pricing and booking, and Widgety supplies live availability up to the point of booking. They sell to travel agencies and technology firms under contract. Cruise Itinerary does not offer live fares; it records one snapshot of every sailing's fares each Monday.

Which cruise API has the longest price history?

Cruisewatch, among the vendors checked. It has sold an API-based price history service to partners since at least 2022, though it does not state the depth on a page we could load. Cruise Itinerary's weekly history starts on 2026-09-06, and CruiseFeed says most departed sailings in its archive carry no pricing.

Does any cruise API work with Claude or ChatGPT?

CruiseFeed publishes a remote MCP server for its API, and Traveltek has launched an AI cruise booking assistant, AIVA. Cruise Itinerary is building a remote MCP server so Claude and ChatGPT can call its itinerary, ship, port and fare data directly. Until then, its REST API works with any agent that can call HTTP endpoints.

How current is this cruise API comparison?

Every vendor claim was checked against the vendor's own page on 2026-10-03, and each row links to that page. Vendors change products and prices without notice, so confirm details with them before you buy. We re-check this comparison every quarter and correct any row a vendor shows us is wrong.
